Frequently asked questions

What is a tithi?

A lunar day, every 12° the Moon gains on the Sun is one tithi. The 15 of Shukla paksha end at Purnima; the 15 of Krishna paksha at Amavasya.

Why does the tithi here differ from tomorrow's panchang?

It should not, this is the same ephemeris. Differences online usually come from showing the tithi at a different reference hour.
